ABOUT ME
Mike was a Police Officer for over 32 years after retiring in 2021. He was with Saginaw City Police Department from 1989 until retiring in 2009. During his time at Saginaw City Police, some of his duties included 5 years as a homicide detective, 18 years serving on the SWAT team, and 13 years as a Sergeant. He also was a background investigator, a Field Training Officer as well a supervisor for the K-9 unit and Reserve Unit.
In 1991 he also was an instructor at Delta College Police Academy. In 2009 once retired from Saginaw City he was hired as a full-time Sergeant for the Delta College Department of Public Safety where he remained until retiring from Delta College in 2021.
How I Can Help You
CPL Training
This is our one day / 8 hour CPL course. The class consists of approximately 6 hours of classroom time and two hours of range time. Once the classroom portion is completed we will spend the remaining 2 hours outside on the shooting range. Our class sizes are limited so each student can be provided with the needed instruction to handle their firearm safely and proficiently. We also specialize and welcome new shooters. The cost for this class is $150 per person if you have your own gun and 50 rounds of ammunition. If you do not yet have a firearm, we have handguns to rent for an additional $30 and that even includes the needed ammunition. Lunch will also be provided for the students and is included in the cost of the class.
Advance Classes
These classes are designed for the person who has already completed their CPL training and are ready to take their skill set to the next level. This course will be 5 hours of hands on training, which all takes place on our outdoor range. For this class we limit our class size to two students for every instructor. Also for this class we would want to meet with students to be sure they have the proper equipment for class and their training time is a complete success. We would like students to use the holsters, spare magazine holders, flashlights that they would have access to in a real life-shooting situation and use on a daily basis. We would ask that each student have the equipment listed below to attend this class. We also feel it necessary to sit down with all of the class participants prior to attending a class so we are all on the same page. The cost for this class is $250 per person. Each student will also need to bring their own food and water or desired refreshments.
